Happy Thursday, lovelies! Let’s talk about hair products. When it comes to hair products, I’m extremely picky and don’t just use any brand or product. I only use salon-quality brands and avoid using drug store only brands. There has been so much controversy on using drugstore brands that I’ve made sure to invest in good, high-quality products. The products mentioned today won’t break the bank either. Here are my 11 go-to hair products and why each one should be in your hair care routine.
11 Go-To Hair Products:
Kenra Color Maintenance Shampoo //
For anyone who has colored their hair, this shampoo is what you need. This product is great for protecting color treated hair. I’ve used a handful of shampoo designated for colored hair and this is the only one that I feel really protects my hair and doesn’t wash my color out.
Kenra Color Maintenance Conditioner //
Just like the shampoo, the color maintenance conditioner is a must for treated hair. Plus, both the shampoo and condition work together to keep your color from fading faster.
Kenra Dandruff Shampoo //
Next up is the Kenra shampoo that is made for dandruff. I use this shampoo weekly to bi-weekly just to help with the product build-up that accumulates with the number of hair products that I use. This shampoo leaves my hair feeling fresh and my scalp build-up free. Even if you aren’t someone who suffers from dry scalp/dandruff, I highly recommend this shampoo.
It’s a 10 Miracle Moisture Shampoo & It’s a 10 Miracle Daily Conditioner //
Every once in a while I will switch up my shampoo and condition to the It’s A 10 Miracle Moisture line. This shampoo and condition just give my hair some extra moisture, especially in the dry winter weather.
It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In //
Now that my hair is clean and wet, I start my styling products. I use a leave-in conditioner to help restore shine, eliminate frizz, and helps enhance my natural volume. A leave-in conditioner should be in everyone’s hair care routine.
It’s A 10 Miracle De-Frizzing Gel //
Since I have wavy/frizzy hair, a de-frizzing product is a staple in taming my hair. I love the It’s A 10 Miracle De-Frizzing Gel to help tame my hair and keep it from looking unruly. This product is different from others because it has a lightweight formula that quenches the thirst of each individual strand while smoothing and reducing breakage and split ends. If you suffer from frizzy hair, you need this in your life!
It’s A 10 Miracle Whipped Styling Balm //
This is another miracle product that I always have on hand. Typically I only use it when I plan on curling my hair but it’s great to use no matter if you plan on curling or straightening your hair. The It’s A 10 Miracle Whipped Styling Balm has many benefits such as smoothing, softening, hydrating, and reducing breakage. Not only does it have multiple benefits but it’s great for color treated hair because it protects the color, resists humidity, and nourishes already damaged hair.
Kenra Perfect Blowout //
Now that I’ve added all of my styling products, it’s time to dry my hair. Like I mentioned above, I have super thick, wavy, frizzy and unruly hair so to cut my drying time in half, I use Kenra’s Blow Dry product. This product is a must for anyone who has super thick hair that takes forever to dry.
Kenra Thermal Styling Spray //
If you are someone who uses any heat on your hair, a heat protectant spray is an absolute must. I love that this heat spray really protects my hair, especially in the summertime when my hair is known to hold humidity and fry whenever I try to curl or straighten my hair. Taking care of your hair should always be a high priority and a heat spray is crucial.
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum //
This is a product I always forget I have in my closet but I love to pull it out in the summertime. I love to apply a teeny tiny bit in my palm, rub my hands together, then run the product through my hair. If my hair is curled, it will help break up and smooth the curls. This serum seriously works wonders by leaving my hair skinny, shiny, and frizz-free all year-round but especially in the summertime humidity.
Kenra Volume Spray 25 //
I cannot rave about this hairspray enough. it is seriously my holy grail and the only hairspray that keeps my hair intact. What I love about this spray is that it is known for being wind resistant up to 25 mph, resisting high humidity for 24 hours, and being fast-drying. I never feel like my hair is gummy after applying this spray.
Kenra Volume Dry-Shampoo //
Lastly, is dry shampoo. Since I have crazy thick hair that takes a thousand years to do, I never wash my hair every day. This always my color to last longer and prevents breakage, plus it saves on the amount of product I use. To keep my hair looking fresh, investing in a high-quality dry shampoo is a must. I love this dry shampoo because it keeps my hair feeling fresh no matter what day of no wash I’m on and gives my hair some much-needed volume.

Hair related questions are seriously the most popular questions that I get asked. Today I’m going to be answering those questions for you.
How do you curl your hair?
If I’m wanting a beachy wave look, I use my NuMe classic curling wand in the size 25mm. I grab small sections, alternating each curl until my whole head is curled. Once I’m done curling, I use the super skinny serum and run through my hair to break up the curls to make them look more natural.
On the other hand, if I’m just wanting a quick curl, I use my Hot Tools 1” curling wand. Instead of using small sections, I take larger sections and curl them in the barrel quickly. Just like with the beachy waves, I take the serum and run through my hair to again, break up the curls. This just gives a quick curl to my hair rather than letting it go natural or taking the time to straighten it.
What straightener do you use?
I recently just ditched my Chi straightener and purchased a HairArt straightener. The Chi always seemed to fry and break my hair. My stylist has been using for the HairArt for the 10+ years she’s been doing hair and highly recommended it. I absolutely love how my hair turns out when she uses it and it’s a high-quality straightener for a great price. I’m so glad she recommended it because I’m obsessed with it!
Who does your hair?
My sister-in-law, Ashley does my hair. She works at a local salon here called Reflections.
