How am I giving my son’s 2-month update already? Seriously, time is flying by! Yesterday, Henry had his 2-month doctor’s appointment and received his 2-month shots, which was awful to witness. Keep reading to find out more on Henry’s 2-month update including his height, weight, milestones, and more!
Henry’s 2-Month Update:
14 pounds 6 ounces
23 inches long
Diaper- Size 2
Clothes- Size 3-6 months
For the most part all night with the occasional wake up for a small feeding and diaper change.
Henry’s personality is starting to develop and Brad and I just love it. It’s so fun to watch his attitude change and his smiles take over his face. I can’t wait to learn more about his personality in the months to come.
Henry holds his head up, for the most part, on his own. He started sleeping through the night at around 5-6 weeks. Henry also smiles and has started cooing.
Definitely, him sleeping through the nights! I seriously can’t believe that he’s sleeping through the night already and at such a young age.
The uncontrollable fussiness.
How I’m Doing 2 Months Postpartum:
My Mental Health:
A question I’ve been asked multiple times is if I suffered from any postpartum depression. By definition, I’d say that I’ve been fortunate enough to not suffer from postpartum depression. While I wouldn’t say it’s postpartum depression, I’d say I’ve had some baby blues, self-diagnosed of course. Having a baby isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, having a baby is challenging and overwhelming. As much as I love my son there have been dark days where I need to separate myself and there are days where crying is the only thing I can manage. It’s difficult to console a screaming baby when you don’t know what he needs because he’s been fed, changed, held, and napped. Feeling overwhelmed is normal, at least in my opinion.
My Physical Health:
In just a little over 8 weeks I’ve managed to lose 45 pounds, which means I only have about 15 more pounds to go before I hit prebaby weight. I’ve also started a workout program through Beachbody. Next month I have the first running road race that I’m planning on jogging/walking since I graduated high school. It’s definitely a crazy goal but the road race itself sounded too fun to pass up. This race is called the Ohio State 4-Miler which starts on the Ohio State campus and ends on the 50-yard line of the Ohio Stadium. Not only does the race finish on the 50-year line but we have the opportunity to meet some of the Ohio State coaches, past players, and of course, Brutus.
Completely healed!! I got released about 3 weeks ago to resume all activity. Woohoo!!
Time truly does go by fast and I’m soaking in as much time with little Henry before he grows more. I can’t believe how big he has gotten in his first two months of life. I hope you enjoyed learning more about Henry’s 2-month update. Stay tuned next month for his 3-month update.
